HIL granted two new patents – including a first in China

Last week the USPTO granted HIL yet another patent in the field of laser-based particle acceleration. Today it was joined by the Chinese CTPO, granting HIL its first patent in China.

These recent additions bring HIL’s IP portfolio to over two dozen granted and pending patents, divided into nine families. Of these, more than a dozen core patents have been granted worldwide, including in the US, Japan and China – the largest and fastest-growing international markets for proton therapy.
