Dr. Moshe Fraenkel of Soreq NRC joins HIL’s R&D team
Dr. Fraenkel is an experimental plasma physicist in the field of high-intensity laser matter interaction. He has over 20 years’ experience in hands-on research as well as supervision of research programs in academy and government labs. In recent years he has headed the Plasma Physics Department in Soreq NRC, Yavne, Israel – where he lead a group of theory and experimental physics in various laser-matter interaction research programs. His topics of expertise include Ultra-short-pulse laser produced plasma from solid targets, X-ray diagnostics of laser produced plasma, short pulse laser propagation in atmosphere: self-channeling and multi-filamentation, and short pulse laser technology and diagnostics.
Dr. Fraenkel holds a Ph. D. degree in Physics from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
