HIL is awarded a European Union R&D grant under Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 is the EU’s framework programme for research and innovation.

According to the European Commission, it is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever, with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). It’s aim is to foster breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.

Horizon 2020 is also the most competitive framework programme ever, with overall success rates of only 10-14%; first-time applicants’ success rates are far below even the 10% mark.

HIL’s successful first-time application, hence, is yet another testament to our excellence in innovation – and to the significant market, financial and human impacts our breakthrough technology promises to bring about.
