Dr. Moti Botton-Dascal of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem joins HIL’s R&D
team

Dr. Botton-Dascal is a theoretician in plasma physics specialising in the interaction between radiation and matter. He has over 30 years’ experience in developing models and sophisticated numerical simulations describing various aspects of plasma physics. In recent years his major research interests are in topics of Ultrashort-pulse laser interaction with structured plasma targets. These include novel methods of laser and plasma based electron and proton accelerators, short pulse laser propagation in atmosphere: self-channeling and multi-filamentation, and basic aspects of energy absorption mechanisms.
